National children’s folklore competition “Give, grandma, fire!”
Participants can be up to 17 years old.

SECTION – AUTHENTIC FOLKLORE
• Groups for children’s traditional folklore / whose repertoire includes – children’s folklore games; entertainers, names, counters, proverbs and riddles /
• Folklore people from Graovo or from the region from which the participant comes
SECTION – PROCESSED FOLKLORE
• Dramatization of fairy tales
• Dance ensembles
• Vocal groups and orchestras
DANCE COMPOSITIONS SHOULD NOT NUMBER MORE THAN 24 PARTICIPANTS.
All candidates fill in an application according to the proposed form and send it to the specified address no later than 23.05.2021

Folk singers and instrumentalists participate with two performances with a total duration of up to 5 minutes.
The competition repertoire is optional, as one of the performances must be from Graovo and the other from another ethnographic area.
IMPORTANT! The songs of singers who have already appeared in the competition should be different from those with which they participated in previous years
Mixed groups for children’s traditional folklore present – entertainers, names, counters, proverbs; children’s folklore games with a duration of up to 10 minutes
Folklore people from Graovo or from the area of the participants with a duration of up to 10 minutes
IMPORTANT! Children’s folklore games and people who have already appeared in the competition groups to be different from those with which they participated in previous years
Dramatization of Bulgarian fairy tales lasting up to 10 minutes.
Dance ensembles – up to 15 minutes
Vocal groups and orchestras – up to 10 minutes.
IMPORTANT! The dances and songs of those who have already appeared in the competition to be different from those with which they participated in previous years
Ranking and awards:
The performers will be evaluated by a competent professional jury – prominent folklorists, ethnologists, musicians, choreographers
Participants are divided into age groups:
First group – from 4 to 10 years;
Second group – from 10 to 17 years.
In the groups, the age is determined by the age of most participants.
In each category and age group are awarded: First, Second, Third place
